xChange13 Training Courses

Here is a great chance to get the very best in Serena Education. These classes are taught in our "intensive format" where we collapse some 3-4 day of course materials into 2 days. Training will be held at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach, the same site as xChange13. Each 2-day class is $1,000, each 1-day class is $500, specially priced just for xChange13. Customers can add a class any time after completing their registration and before xChange13. Companies that have 1 person attend xChange13 have the ability to add additional students from their organization into the training sessions at the same discounted rates.

Release Management:

Compilation of 100-Serena Release Control + 120-Using Serena Release Automation
(2 days, $1000 ILT)
This 2 day course provides the foundational concepts, terminology, and skills to create and track release management elements in the Serena Release Control tool. Our Release Automation course provides the foundational concepts, terminology, and skills to build and execute automated deployment models in the Serena Release Automation tool. Topics include how to create, view, edit, and copy Release Trains; create Application Releases and associate with a Release Train; creating and deploying a Release Package; identify how SRA works with RLM, SBM, and customer-built apps; creating a component, application, environment, run a process; and various reporting measures.

IT Service Management Path:

Serena Service Manager (SSM) Suite: 1 Day, $500 ILT
This 1 day course combines the SSM Orientation, SSM Incident & Problem Management, and SSM Change & Configuration Management courses, providing the concepts and skills to use Serena Service Manager applications. Students will learn the foundational concepts and terminology needed to use Serena Service Manager (SSM) applications and the skills to navigate the User Workspace; users of the SSM Incident Management and Problem Management applications, as well as the users of the SSM Change Management and Configuration Management System will learn the skills to work with items, data, and reports in these workflows.

200 - Customizing Serena Service Manager (SSM): 2 days, $1000 ILT
This 2 day course will provide the foundational concepts and skills needed to modify elements of SSM process apps; configure, test, and deploy a customized app; design and develop a process app. Topics include how to identify and customize the application elements in the SSM applications; customize data fields, workflow states and transitions in the incident management application; Use SBM Composer and Application Repository to deploy a SSM process app; use the Administrator Portal; and adding a process app to the Service Catalog.

Serena Business Manager (SBM) Platform Training

200 - SBM 10.1 Designer and Administrator Intensive: 2 days, $1,000
This 2 day accelerated course will provide the foundational concepts and skills needed to Design and develop a process app; Deploy a process app; Configure the runtime environment; and Promote a process app to a production environment. Topics include Design and use a process app; navigate the SBM Composer interface; deploy a process app to a run-time environment with SBM System Administrator.

300 - SBM 10.1 Advanced Designer: 2 days, $1,000
This 2 day course will provide the foundational concepts and skills needed to understanding the concepts and techniques for creating sophisticated process apps with Serena Business Manager. Topics include how to access and install pre-built process apps; using advanced form design; create custom reports; design process apps with complex workflow process controls; and import data into a SBM database.

400 - SBM 10.1 Advanced Orchestrations Intensive: 2 days, $1000
This 2-day class will provide the concepts and techniques for creating Orchestrations. Students will learn how to design advanced SBM Applications requiring Orchestrations; create Orchestrations; and consult with team members on advanced techniques and complex workflows. Topics include reviewing methods for exchanging information between SBM and other products; understanding how the underlying SBM database is structured; describing SOA and use SOA Web Services; creating and invoking Events.
