401K Plan

Our 401(k) Plan allows our employees to defer up to 60% of their compensation. Serena matches 30% of the first 6% of employee contributions.

Vacation

Years of employment
0 – 5 = 3 weeks
6 and up = 4 weeks

Medical Insurance

Our medical plans include Kaiser Permanente HMO and CIGNA PPO.

Dental Plan

Our dental plan is administered by Aetna.

Vision

Our vision plan is administered by Vision Service Plan.

Life insurance/AD&D/Short & Long Term Disability

Life insurance coverage provided by Serena through CIGNA Group Insurance is up two (2) times an employee's earnings, which includes an average of the last 24 months of commissions and bonuses. Short and long term disability coverage also provided by CIGNA is a benefit of up to 66% of an employee's earnings, subject to various plan limits. Supplemental Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Employee, Spouse, and Child Life coverage are available.

Sick Days

An employee is allowed up to six paid sick days per year.

Paid Holidays

There are nine per year.

Employee Assistance Program

Serena Software employees and their eligible dependents are entitled to receive various services through our EAP program such as confidential clinical counseling, life management services, financial consultations, child care consultations, legal counseling, elder care consultations, and assistance in organizing life's affairs.

Flexible Spending Accounts (Medical & Dependent Care)

Our flexible spending accounts allow for our employees to defer pretax dollars for dependent care and health care expenses.

Travel Assistance

Our travel assistance services allow access for our employees and their dependents to emergency medical assistance when traveling 100 miles or more from home or in a foreign country. Travel assistance services include: medical consultation and evaluation, medical referrals, hospital admission guarantee, critical care monitoring, and if medically necessary, evacuation by whatever mode of transport is necessary to the nearest facility that can appropriately treat the situation. Worldwide Assistance also provides assistance with transportation to join a patient, transmission of emergency messages to home, care of minor children left unattended due to sudden illness or injury, return of mortal remains and legal or interpreter referrals.
